Description: Stunning c1905 Edwardian hidden hinge bangle bracelet featuring an incredibly ornate repousse and chased foliate design framing a puffy cartouche at the centre engraved with the monogram ERF. Back is plain. It is Wide, Thick & Heavy! Stamped/Hallmarked: L.M. & Co., the early trademark of Leach & Miller Company, established prior to 1904 and operating til the 1930s producing a range including lockets, bracelets, belt buckles, scarf pins & brooches. Construction: Gold Filled or Gold Shell. Unmarked for gold purity. Outer surface tests positive for 10 carat gold. Colour: blend of yellow and rose gold which is chameleon-like in different lights Size: for medium-large wrists with 19cm circumference, diameters 5.57cm & 6.38cm (oval) and 2.5cm (1") at widest point. Weight: a hefty 51.4 grams Condition: Better-than-Excellent! There is no wear apparent, dents or damage. As is typical of an unstamped piece there is a very slight shadow a few mm wide on the interior at the hinge (an old test mark) - it is barely obvious. Clasp & hinge functioning perfectly.
