This beautiful Antique/Vintage bracelet is known as
an “AMERICAN QUEEN” adjustable or expansion bracelet. It's maker's
expansion bracelets were patented in 1907
and is amongst the most sought after by collectors today.
The magnificent centrepiece is studded with a
large sparkling FAUX RUBY red/crimson paste or crystal stone bezel set and
framed with beading and a border of rich repousse scrolls so typical of the
time.The S shaped links alternate between plain and richly embossed. They are
tight, attached and secure.
It has the silky smooth feel usually only
associated with solid carat gold and expected of quality antique jewellery.
